Shaakuntalam Is Speicla Film For Me Says Samantha Ruth Prabhu

Mumbai, 14th March 2023 (NewsHelpline) – Ahead of its release, Samantha Ruth Prabhu finally caught a special screening of her next release, a period drama Shaakuntalam and praised the entire team for making the film so special for her. 

 

Written and directed by Gunasekhar, based on a popular play Abhignyana Shaakuntalam by Kalidasa, the film features Samantha in the titular role of Shakuntala and Dev Mohan as Dushyanta, the king of Puru dynasty along with Mohan Babu, Jisshu Sengupta, Madhoo, Gautami, Aditi Balan and Ananya Nagalla in supporting roles.

 

Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to her social media profile and dropped a picture with director and team members, and she captioned her post, “And I finally watched the movie today! Gunashekar garu.. you have my heart. What a beautiful film! One of our greatest epics brought to life so endearingly” 

 

“I can’t wait for our family audiences to be swept away by the powerful emotions! And all you kids out there… you’re going to love our magical world! Dil Raju garu and Neelima…thank you for this wonderful journey. #Shaakuntalam will forever be close to me” added Samantha. 

 

It is produced by Neelima Guna under Gunaa Teamworks and distributed by Sri Venkateswara Creations. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on 14 April 2023.

 

Apart from Shaakuntalam, actress Samantha is also shooting for Khushi, also starring south sensation Vijay Deverakonda.
